A funeral Mass will be held from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, February 23 at 11:00 in St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours are from 4-8 Thursday, February 22 in the funeral home.

On Monday, February 19, 2018, Elaine passed away peacefully at her home (affectionately known as “The Knoll”) while surrounded by her loving and supportive village.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 38 years Kenneth Paul in 2009, mother Alice Bouchard in 1992 and father Hector Bouchard in 1967.
Elaine’s legacy will be carried on by her four siblings and their spouses: Raymond Bouchard and his wife Cecile of Rindge, NH, Kenneth Bouchard and his wife Janice, of Leominster, MA, Roger Bouchard and his wife Anne of Florence, SC, and Annette Arcucci and her husband, Francesco of Milan, Italy. Elaine also leaves three children: Keith Paul and his husband Michael Chunyk of South Hadley, MA, Taryn DiVito and her husband Anthony of Fitchburg, MA, and Lee Paul and his wife Shanna of Lancaster, MA. Elaine adored her four grandchildren Isabella, Dario, Jacob, and Dominic.
A 1967 graduate of FItchburg High School, Elaine took pride in being a stay-at-home mom for many years. Elaine worked at The Wheeling Co., Boucher Real Estate, Reingold Elementary School, and Sikorsky Aircraft. Elaine also dedicated endless hours volunteering for many important causes including the Fitchburg Senior Center, various church events, PTO president, the Boston Marathon, and helped organized her high school reunions.
Elaine loved playing golf, running local road races, hiking her beloved Mt. Wachusett, finding joy in yard work, interior decorating, cooking up a flavorful pea soup or roast, spending time on the lake, and playing with her grandchildren. If she found any down time, you could find her watching HGTV or Jeopardy, working on a crossword puzzle, or writing a letter to a loved one.
Elaine will be remembered for her beautiful and infectious smile as it lit up any room she entered. She always viewed the glass half-full, spreading her optimism wherever she ventured. Elaine was a woman of her word, put others first, and poured her heart and soul into all she accomplished. She lived a life helping others. She was a dedicated cheerleader for her children, friends, and family. A devout Catholic, Elaine
