Edwin O. Wagg, 87, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after a brief illness at The Highlands in Fitchburg, MA.
He was born in Fitchburg on February 21, 1928, a son of the late Olavi and Helvi (Kiuru) Wagg.
Edwin graduated from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham and was the husband of the late Agatha (Marabello) Wagg.
He is survived by his four children, Michael Wagg, Judy Girouard, her husband Mark, Andrew Wagg, and Christy Kimball, her husband, Jason; three Grandchildren, Dylan Girouard, Lisa Hildreth, and Lucy Kimball; one brother, Alan Wagg; and his longtime girlfriend, Annie Ericson.
He was a lifelong resident of Ashburnham. He lived on Byfield Road/Wagg Road, and then his family moved to Center Street, where Ed continued to work for his dad on their poultry farm and was then a machinist for Maynard Tool in South Ashburnham until his retirement in 2000. Ed worked at the senior center for ten years, driving the senior van.
A graveside service will be held in the New Cemetery in Ashburnham, MA, on Saturday, April 26th at 11 AM.
