Edward T. Sheridan, known fondly as Ed to his friends and family, was born on the 29th of December, 1948, in Boston, and grew up in Melrose MA. Graduated from Melrose High School in 1967, and enlisted in the army in 1968. He was honorable discharged after 3 1/2 years of service. He did dental laboratory training at Brook Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, then joined the NATO forces in Augsburg Germany, 30th Field Hospital for two years. 

In Germany he met his wife Julie A. Humphrey of Eastbourne, England and they were married in Wakefield MA, United States in 1972. 

In addition to his wife, Julie of 52 years, Edward is survived by two sons John D. Sheridan his wife Laura, of Lunenburg, a son Kevin T. Sheridan his wife Aurelia. Also 4 grandchildren, Timothy and Alexandra of Lunenburg MA. and Louisa and Maxime of Hove England.

Ed was a certified dental laboratory technician for 40 years. Served 6 years on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Study Group of certified technicians. Two of those years as the Secretary Treasurer. He was presented several awards for his involvement in the advancements in the field of dental technology. 

During his 43 years of employment he worked for the Department of the Army as a civilian, also the Veterans Administration and for 16 years owned his own laboratory providing full month reconstruction both with fixed and removable appliances.

Ed enjoyed sailing on the Charles River Basin, Boston Harbor, and around Cape Ann. He also enjoyed painting and golf, and illustrating humorous stories, as well as trips to Eastbourne England and Nice France. 

Ed’s ashes will be scattered in Eastbourne, Sussex England.
