The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Anna’s Church in Leominster on Saturday, April 30 at 12:30 pm. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is directing arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
Leominster – Edward R. Gosselin, 64, of Leominster, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.
Edward was born in Fitchburg on May 29, 1951, son of the late Edward and Louise (Lizotte) Gosselin. He graduated from Fitchburg High School and later from UMass Lowell. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, until his honorable discharge. Edward worked for many years as a Software Engineer for Mindshift in Waltham.
While his children were young, he enjoyed attending their sporting events. He enjoyed trips to Maine and Alabama with his family and friends. He belonged to the North Leominster Gun Club, as well as the Fort Devens Gun Club. Edward enjoyed working on cars, and was always happy to help family and friends in need of a hand. He loved making margaritas and mai tais to share with family and friends.
He leaves his loving wife of 37 years, Margaret “Peggie” (Firmani) Gosselin; two sons, Joshua Gosselin and Jonathan Gosselin, all of Leominster. Edward also leaves his sisters, Lorraine Miller and her husband, Ralph, of Fitchburg, and Jane Murphy and husband, Daniel, of Pepperell; father-in-law, Settimio Firmani, of Leominster; sister-in-law, Kathleen Frew and husband, Charles, of Alabama as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
