Lunenburg – Edward “Ed” Hendershaw, Jr., 78, died suddenly on December 25, 2022 in his home after a brief illness.
Calling hours are Thursday, December 29 from 5-7 pm with a funeral service at 6:30 pm in Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org/donate.
Lunenburg – Edward “Ed” Hendershaw, Jr., 78, died suddenly on December 25, 2022 in his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Fitchburg on April 29, 1944, the son of the late Edward J. and Eileen A. (Tracey) Hendershaw.
He leaves his loving wife, Frances (Hildreth) Hendershaw, with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in February, his daughter, Lisa M. Hendershaw and her fiancé John Valladares of Groveland, his son, Jason E. Hendershaw and his wife, Nikki, of Gardner, his brother, Scott S. Hendershaw of Lunenburg and one grandson, Jackson Hendershaw. He was predeceased by his brother, James P. Hendershaw.
Ed was retired from Sentry Insurance Company in Concord where he worked as a licensed broker for 40 years.
Ed was an avid fisherman and an experienced ham radio operator and member of the National Amateur Radio Club. He had enjoyed seasonal residency, with his wife, in Wells, Maine for the past 15 years.
