She passed on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Gardner Rehab, in Gardner, MA. Known for her love of reading, her penchant for puzzles, and her joy in playing cards with her family, Edith's spirit was a beacon of warmth and love. Her fervor for the Boston Red Sox was infectious, ensuring the echoes of their matches filled her home in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where she resided. She carried the same dedication and commitment into her profession as a mold operator in the manufacturing industry before she retired, leaving an indelible mark on all those she worked with.
Edith's life was an embodiment of strength and resilience, her journey as a woman of valor, not without its challenges, was a testament to her fortitude. She navigated the world with a quiet strength that was as captivating as it was inspiring. As a mother who raised eight children, she demonstrated her unwavering dedication to her family. Her love was a shelter, her wisdom a guiding light, and her laughter a melody that will forever resound in the hearts of her loved ones.
Edith is survived by her children, Florence Mazzerolle, Gerald Hachey, Carol (Thomas) Laubner, Raymand (Kelly) Hachey, Frances (Frank) Hammer, Theresa Cormier, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Martin, her sons, Clarence and Maurice (Jean) Hachey, son-in-law, Andrew Mazzerolle. The legacy of Edith's kindness, her dedication, and her love will live on through her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
