Fitchburg – Douglas Brailey, Sr., of Fitchburg, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Wednesday night due to complications from cancer.
Doug was born in Fitchburg to the late Bill Brailey, Jr. and Rosamond “Roz” (Woods) Brailey.
He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1968 and after graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served as Security Police Member and retired after 20 years.
He leaves his loving wife of 51 years Linda (Normandin) Brailey of Fitchburg; two daughters; Tracey Cormier and husband Vincent of Fitchburg and Karen Walsh and her husband Casey of Vernon, VT. He is predeceased by his son Douglas “DJ” Brailey, Jr., and his sister Pat Kelley of New Hampshire.
As an avid video game player, he would often play games with his four grandchildren he leaves behind: Corey and Ashley Cormier of Fitchburg and Finn and Liam Walsh of Vernon, VT.
