Dorothy Henault Grier

A funeral service will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, January 13 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.



OBITUARY Fitchburg – Dorothy M. (Grier) Henault., 94, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully in Leominster Hospital on January 3, with her loving granddaughter Hillary by her side. Dorothy was born in Fitchburg on January 15, 1922, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Kilcoyne) Grier. She graduated from Saint Bernard’s Catholic High School. For several years she worked in the cafeteria at the High School. Dorothy retired from E and G Vending after many years. She loved to read and always enjoyed her weekly trips to the Cutting Corner, where she would get her hair done and visit with her favorite stylist Corey. Dorothy was a fan of the Patriots and Red Sox. She loved to spend her summers on the Cape with her sister Peg. Her most treasured time was being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She leaves her children, Lawrence Henault and wife Priscilla of Wilbraham, Gail Bubon and husband Peter of Fitchburg, and Donna Durkee and husband Gerry of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Tanya Bubon, Shawna Cosgrove and husband Paul, Hillary Durkee, Zachary Durkee; great grandchildren, Owen and Patrick Cosgrove; nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Henault in 1979, her brothers, William and Donald Grier, and her sister Peg Markham.
