Donald Featherstone

The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 27 from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with a Mass in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., at 9:30 am. Burial will follow in the South Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, MA. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 26, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.



Fitchburg – Donald Featherstone, 79, of Fitchburg, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, in the Caldwell Home, with his family at his side. Donald was born in Worcester on January 25, 1936, a son of the late Harry and Donalda (Robideaux) Featherstone. He was the original creator of the pink plastic lawn flamingo, which he created during his time as an Artist at Union Products in Leominster. He leaves his loving wife, Nancy (Santino) Featherstone of Fitchburg; two children, Harold Featherstone and Judith Nelson, both of Leominster; four granddaughters; two great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his brother Matthew Featherstone.
