Funeral services will be held privately at Diane’s request. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Leominster Public Library, 30 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.



OBITUARY Leominster – Diane D. (Duxbury) Brassard, 74, of Leominster passed away Saturday, May 28, in Leominster Hospital. Diane was born in North Adams, MA on September 7, 1941, a daughter of the late George and Doris (Benoit) Duxbury. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1959 and Henri’s School of Hair Design. For many years, Diane was a hairdresser and also worked as a secretary for Borden Chemical. She also enjoyed selling Avon products in her spare time. Diane proudly served her country in the U.S. Coast Guard, where she was an Air Traffic Controller. Diane was an avid reader, reading hundreds of books a year. She truly loved the Library and was a member of the Friends of the Leominster Public Library. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, her favorite place. She loved her family and enjoyed time spent with her grandsons. She will be truly missed. She leaves her two sons, Bob Brassard and his wife Theresa of Leominster, and William Brassard and his wife Amy of Sterling; grandsons, Beau, Jake, Nolan, Kyle, Connor, and Mason Brassard; brother, George Duxbury, Jr. of Worcester; sister Louise Duxbury of Agawam; several nieces and nephews, including Doreen Barbaro, and many cousins. Diane was predeceased by her husband John R. Brassard.
