The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Wednesday, September 21, with a Mass in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Cecilia’s Cemetery in Leominster. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 20, from 4-8pm.

Leominster – Dennis Jude Cormier, 71, of Leominster, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.
Dennis was born in Leominster on January 31, 1945, a son of the late Clarence and Bernadine (Carbone) Cormier. In 1963, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served his country aboard the Air Craft Carrier USS Forrestal until his honorable discharge.
For over 50 years Dennis has been a local musician performing in bands from Terry and the Pirates, to the Survivors; he also was a very talented solo artist. Music was his passion, and along with his brother Richard, he opened Rite Track Productions, a recording studio in Leominster.
Dennis was a jack of all trades; very creative and enjoyed working with his hands. He was an Engineer/TV technician for LATV in Leominster. A favorite pastime of his was traveling. He enjoyed yearly family vacations at Lake Winnipesauke, and also traveling internationally with his wife to Israel, Egypt, Australia, Peru, and many other countries.
The most important aspect of Dennis’ life was family. He adored his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anything. He will be fondly remembered for being a loving, selfless man, who always put the needs of others first. His great sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by all who knew him.
Dennis leaves his wife Donna (Aveyard) Fallon Cormier of Leominster; children, Jacqueline Grant and husband David of York, ME, Jason Cormier and wife Shelly of Fitchburg, Michelle Cormier of Leominster, Regina Cormier of New Ipswich, NH, Bess Cucchiara of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Natasha Hriniak, Elijah Cormier, Eneida Torres, and Anthony Cucchiara; several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was predeceased by his first wife Lynda (Pirro) Cormier in 1969, his son Stephen Cormier in 1995, and his brother Richard Cormier in 2004.
