LANCASTER – Debra A. (Crowley) Piermarini, 60, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 while under the care of UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, peacefully and with her family by her side.
Debbie was born December 12, 1955 in Leominster, the daughter of Gerald and Irene (LeHoux) Crowley. After graduating from Leominster High School in 1974 and from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1978, she dedicated the years that followed to raising her four children. Debbie was actively involved in her children’s schooling, sports, and extracurricular activities, and spent time serving as President of the Lancaster PTO. She later returned to pursue her passions as a teacher and nurturer, working as a speech therapist in the Fitchburg school system.
Debra spent summers on Spec Pond as a child and became a permanent resident of Spec Pond with her husband and four children for the last 36 years. She was active in her community and neighborhood and served on the Spectacle Pond Preservation Association.
Their home became a gathering place for friends and extended family. Debbie was happiest when surrounded by her four children, loved ones, and will be remembered by many as a second mother, sister, or best friend, who was always eager to lend an ear and a helping hand. Debra opened her heart, her home and time to those in need and was always there for the people unconditionally.
Deb always felt her greatest accomplishment was being home with her four children to nurture, care and raise them. Her legacy lives in the hearts and minds of her children and everyone she touched.
Debra leaves her husband of nearly 40 years, James J. Piermarini; her sons, Jim Jr. and Andrew; her daughters, Alyssa and Ashley; her mother, Irene Crowley and her brother, Kevin Crowley. She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Crowley and brother, Jay Crowley.
She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Valorie Reed and Vanessa Piermarini and brother-in-law, Anthony Piermarini and his wife Sandra. Her nephews TJ, Tommy and Greg Piermarini, Robert DiMarzio, Jackie and Amanda Reed, Courtney (Crowley) Tackett, Chelsey, Olivia, Alex, and Zach Crowley.
