Leominster – Daniel J. Lashua, 63, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021 in UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
He was born in Leominster on December 19, 1957, a son of the late Herbert and Ruth (Phelps) Lashua. He graduated from Monty Tech in 1976, where he excelled not only on the track team but also in his studies of computers and electronics. Daniel worked for Digital Equipment Corporation at their Westminster and Cape Cod locations, as well as field services in Boston, retiring after 22 years. Daniel became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 1999, working for Foster Healey; he had maintained his license until his passing.
He was an avid fan of New England sports, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He always enjoyed spending the day at Fenway Park with his family. Daniel also enjoyed fishing on Lower Naukeag in Ashburnham.
He is survived by his siblings, Herb Lashua and wife Linda of Westminster, John Lashua and wife Donna of Fitchburg, Susan Richard and husband Michael of Fitchburg, Priscilla Sullivan of Fitchburg; nieces and nephews, Lorie Landry, Christopher Lashua, Shawn Lashua, Zachary Sullivan, Ryan Sullivan, Emily Richard, Jared Richard; many great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at UMass Oncology for their exceptional care of Daniel.
