Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 5-7pm.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 25 in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster. Please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.

Leominster – Daniel Eugene Paquette, 93, of Leominster, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022 in his home surrounded by family.
Daniel was born in Leominster on March 24, 1929, to Eugene and Rose (Lamothe) Paquette. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1949 and went to work at Seligs for a period of time. He then enlisted in the US Navy where he served as a Radioman aboard the USS Amen in Europe. Upon his return home, he enrolled in the MA School of Telegraphy in Boston and began his 40-year career with New England Telephone, now known as Verizon. He also attended Fitchburg State College.
Dan started in the phone company as a cable splicer and went on to become a contract work coordinator for the Worcester District. He was the Past President of the William J. Denver Chapter Telephone Pioneers of America.
Dan was a boy scout leader for many years with the Nashua Valley Council Boy Scouts of America with Troop 477. He was an active member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Parish in Leominster. He was the Leader of Song with the choir, which he was a member of for 57 years. He was also the soloist in many area churches.
Dan loved gardening and put much time and effort into his plants. He also shared his crop with just about everyone he knew. His other hobby was music, he loved opera and French music.
The joy of his life was his pride in his family and beautiful grandchildren, each and every one of them.
Daniel is survived by his wife Anita (Desjean) Paquette; children, Victoria (Elliott) Holmes of Windsor, CT, Andrea Paquette, Michele (Paul) Cassels, Anita (Gary) Tatro, Daniel (Maria) Paquette, Matthew (Tammy) Paquette, all of Leominster, Christopher (Allison) Paquette of Sterling, James (Heather) Paquette of Easton, PA, and William Paquette of Westford; daughter in law Janice Paquette of Fitchburg; 20 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Alice Blakeley and Gerard Paquette of FL; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his son Alan Paquette.
