Constance N. (Barone) Normandin

The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 11, at 9:30am in Saint Bernard’s Parish at Saint Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers and consider a memorial contribution in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.



Fitchburg – Constance N. (Barone) Normandin, 91, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 in Sterling Village. Constance was born in Fitchburg on September 4, 1929 a daughter of the late Ciro and Nancy Barone. She graduated from Fitchburg High School, where she made many friendships that lasted her entire life. Constance worked for her family’s Business, Barone’s Pharmacy. She was the friendly face behind the soda counter at the King’s Corner store, where she treated her customers as family. Constance loved hosting friends and family for her wonderful meals; she loved baking Italian cookies and making her famous meatballs and sauce. Always a social person, she enjoyed walking, playing cards and spending time with her close friends, Betty Beaver DeCarolis, Peggy Frechette, Barbara Gummerus, Gloria LeClair, and Tony Scola. She also enjoyed all the time she spent with her many dear neighbors. Constance was an animal lover, especially dogs. She is survived by her two children, Stephen Philip Normandin of FL and Judith Nancy Normandin and husband Nicholas Papakyrikos of ME; daughters in law, Maureen Normandin of FL and Annmarie Normandin of FL; grandchildren, Maryellen Wolens, Kathleen LeLierve, Zachary Normandin, Meaghan Murphy, William Normandin, Nicole Rueda, Caitlyn Normandin, Samantha Perry, Emma Normandin, Cole Papakyrikos, Cara Papakyrikos, Amanda Papakyrikos, and Olivia Papakyrikos; many great grandchildren; sister in law, Rita Barone and several nieces and nephews. Constance was predeceased by her husband Philip N. Normandin; sons James Philip Normandin and Philip Michael Normandin; granddaughter Kelly Normandin; brothers, Pasquale and wife Lucy, Anthony, and Ciro, Jr. and wife Connie.
