A calling hour will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Thursday, November 3, from 10-11am. A service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
Claudette E. Cormier, 88, passed away peacefully at the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center on October 26, 2022.
Claudette was born in Fitchburg on June 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Adelard and Blanche (Dupuis) Cormier Marchand. She worked within her family’s business, Cormier Catering, as well as a waitress for local restaurants. For over 30 years, Claudette spent her career working in real estate, retiring from Foster Healey in 2000. She later worked as the office manager for the Meadowbrook Apartments.
Claudette was very involved in her church, the former Assembly of God. She always enjoyed summering at her home in Hampton, NH.
She is survived by her children, David DiConza and wife Zulma of Fitchburg and Susan Clark of Leominster; grandchildren, Taylor Clark, Nicholas Gray, Christopher and Cassandra DiConza; two sisters in law, Dorothy DiConza and Margaret DiConza, both of Fitchburg many nieces and nephews.
Claudette was predeceased by her siblings Ronald Cormier, Constance Kane, and Lorraine Morand, as well as her former husband, Francis DiConza.
