The funeral will be held in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1319 Main St., Fitchburg on Monday, September 26 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg.
Charles C. Sardelis, 68, passed away on September 17, 2022.
He was born in Fitchburg on September 29, 1953, and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1971. Charles attended Mount Wachusett community college before working for Digital for many years. He later worked for Honey Farms Convenience Stores. Charles also worked in and helped manage three family-owned restaurants, before becoming the owner of Maryann’s Too coffee shop in Fitchburg.
He was active as an athlete, playing softball and basketball as well as being an avid golfer. In his retirement, he enjoyed working in the pro shop at Westminster Country Club. Charles was a strong supporter and fan of the Boston Professional teams. In his spare time he enjoyed visiting the casino with friends and family.
Charles is survived by his mother Elizabeth Sardelis of Fitchburg; brothers Peter and Elias Sardelis, both of Fitchburg; niece Victoria Carle, uncle James T. Angelos, aunt Stella Michael of Fitchburg, and many cousins.
Charles was predeceased by his father Christos Sardelis.
