The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, October 4, with a Mass in Saint Edward the Confessor Church, Westminster at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 3, from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
OBITUARY
Westminster – Cecile T. (Rameau) Testa, 87, a lifelong resident of Westminster, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving children.
Cecile was born in Fitchburg on May 13, 1929, a daughter of the late George W. and Alice M. (Percival) Rameau. She attended Westminster Public Schools. At the age of 60, Cecile proudly earned her GED. For many years she worked as a top stitcher at the Anwelt Shoe Company, and part time at the Old Mill, Buttercup, and Monty’s Garden as a waitress. Cecile retired from TRW, where she worked in assembly.
In her spare time she enjoyed cake decorating and line dancing. She was also an avid card player, enjoying games on Saturday nights. Cecile loved to travel, some of her favorite trips included Florida, a cruise to the Bahamas, California, Italy, Canada and Niagara Falls – just to name a few. There was nothing that Cecile treasured more than her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She leaves her children, Anthony W. Testa of Westminster, Albert D. Testa and wife Yvette of Westminster, Brenda L. Robichaud and her husband Henry of Gardner, Bonnie L. Rojas and her husband Noel of Westminster, Bruce R. Testa of Fitchburg, and Tina M. Cooley and companion Arthur Arsenault of Fitchburg; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and her cat, Cookie.
Cecile was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years Anthony V. Testa in 1982, and her siblings, George Rameau, Jr., Edmond Rameau, Pauline Knox, Thomas Rameau, Robert Rameau, and Albert Rameau.
