The funeral will be held Friday, March 27 at 11:00am in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon. Calling hours are Thursday from 3-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
ASHBURNHAM – Carolyn A. (Dee) Crocker, 60, died March 22, 2015, leaving her husband of 40 years, Lee K. Crocker. She was born in Concord to the late Paul V. Sr. and Helen V. (Mattson) Dee.
Carolyn attended Concord schools, graduating in 1972. She was employed with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections until her retirement and was a recipient of Employee of the Year. She enjoyed her past involvement with the Girl & Boy Scouts and skiing. She also enjoyed beach trips and getting together with all her motorcycling friends. She was “Queen” of the “Desperate Quilters” and was involved with the Central Massachusetts Quilts of Valor program.
Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Rebecca Martin and her husband, Karl, of Gardner, her son, Eric Crocker and his wife, Amanda, of Ashburnham, three grandsons, Brian Tyler Michelin, Justin Richard Martin and Lee Kenneth Crocker, four granddaughters, Kara Ashley Martin, Anna-Rose Brewer, Carolyn Rose Crocker and Madison “Sunny” Murphy, two brothers, Paul V. Dee, Jr. and Mark S. Dee and his fiancée, Becky St. Armand, two sisters, Lorraine Mangan and Cynthia Brooks and her husband, Dan, her adopted sister, Marie Luongo, her mother-in-law, Dorothy Crocker, brothers-in-law, David Zannini and his wife, Carolyn and Jeffrey Crocker and his wife, Kelli, sister-in-law, Cynthia Crocker and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Ralph Crocker and by parents-in-law, Louis and Betty Zannini.
