The funeral will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, September 5, with a Mass at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 710 Union St., Leominster at 11:00am. Leominster- Carl P. Gauthier, 70, of Leominster, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Carl was born in Leominster, on February 2, 1947, a son of the late Frederick and Regina (Malley) Gauthier. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1965, where he played football. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, until his honorable discharge in 1968. For over 30 years, Carl worked as a Real Estate Developer and Vice President of Paramount, a division of Perini Corporation.
Carl was very involved and served on the Boards of the Arc of Opportunity, the Beacon of Hope, the Mercy Centre, and Karen’s Closet.
Carl was an avid golfer and for many years organized a memorial golf tournament for his beloved daughter Stephanie. He enjoyed spending the summers with his family at their beach house in Maine.
He leaves his wife Donna M. (Granata) Gauthier of Leominster; a son, Ryan P. Gauthier of Leominster; granddaughter Alexis Gauthier of Franklin; brother, Frederick A. Gauthier, III and his wife Dot of Leominster; sister, Carol Corliss of Leominster; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carl was predeceased by his daughter Stephanie Jean Gauthier in 2004 and his sister Maureen Gallant in 1988.
