Bridget “Bridie” Clayton, age 91, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Leominster Hospital.
She was born on November 20, 1929 in Dingle, Ireland, a daughter of the late Maryellen (Dougherty) Quill and Michael J. Quill.
Bridie was predeceased by her husband Alfred Clayton.
She is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Chabot, wife of Richard Chabot, Susan Leblanc, wife of Denis Leblanc, Annette Banahan, wife of Thomas Banahan and Beverley Mathieu and her partner James Shope; one son with whom she lived, Alfred Paul Clayton; five granddaughters, seven grandsons, and six great grandchildren.
Bridie was predeceased by five sisters, Threasa O’Connell, Margaret Hughes, Ellen Allen, Dorothy Scott, Hannah Brousseau and two brothers, Eugene Quill and Gerard Quill.
Bridie was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was an active member of the Irish American Club. She enjoyed many trips to the Irish Village on Cape Cod, and many visits back to England and Ireland to visit family and friends.
