Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, from 9-12 noon in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM. Burial will follow at 1 PM in Rural Cemetery, Worcester.
OBITUARY
FITCHBURG – Boua Pany, 71, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 in UMASS Medical Center.
She was born March 5, 1943 in Laos, the daughter of Say and Thane (Painbang) Thannoun and moved to the United States in 1979.
She was a dedicated worker, employed by Tandy Instruments and, also, ENE Enterprise in Texas as an electronics assembler for many years, retiring in 2008.
She was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved to cook, work, garden and play cards. She also loved her four cats and her dog. She belonged to the Buddist Fitchburg Temple.
Her husband, Vath Pany, died in 1982. She leaves three sons, Chaloun, of Laos, Prayoune, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Ainoi, of Fitchburg; three daughters, Vandkham (Amy) and Oudthong (Karissa), both of Fitchburg and Ketmany of Vientiane, Laos; a brother, Mao Prany of Ft. Worth, TX and three sisters, Eung Prany of Ft. Worth, TX, Earg Prany of Vientiane, Laos and Ang Prany of Vientiane, Laos; 14 grandchildren, Aom, Aam, Un, Tee, Ny, Johnny, Johnnathan, Paulina, Perry, Shelly, Sathone, Ty, Bea, and Book; and three great grandchildren, Tokang, Nava and Nee. She was predeceased by two sons, Chaleun and Fongsamouth, both of Laos.
