Leominster – Beverly A. (Bailey) Godin, 82, of Leominster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 25, 2017.
Beverly was born in Leominster on April 18, 1935, a daughter of the late Floyd and Annie (Tessier) Bailey. In 1955, Beverly enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served her country until her honorable discharge in 1959. She married Maurice Godin on October 15, 1960, and together they had 52 years of marriage. Beverly worked for Bradlee’s Department Store in Leominster for 32 years until her retirement. She loved to play bingo, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, David Godin of Fitchburg, Kevin Godin of Leominster, Debra Facey and husband Joseph of Leominster; two grandchildren, Jason Paquette and his wife Trisha and Nicholas Paquette and wife Rebecca of Leominster; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Aiden, and Ethan; brother Melvin Bailey and wife Suzanne of Leominster.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband Maurice Godin in 2013 and her sister Janet LeBlanc.
The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, May 30, with a Mass in Saint Cecilia’s Church in Leominster at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Cecilia’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home from 9-10:30 on Tuesday morning.
