Bernard L. DiNatale, 105, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, at the Lifecare Center of Leominster.
Bernard was born in Fitchburg on April 24, 1918, the son of the late Patrick and Elsie (Rossner) DiNatale. He was educated through the Fitchburg Public School system and served as a Corporal in the US Air Force from 1942-1945, and later was an owner of WEB NIK Motors in Fitchburg.
Bernard was a communicant of Saint Anthony di Padua Church in Fitchburg. He loved golfing, and being a member of the Oak Hill Country Club was an important and lasting part of his life. He also loved the Red Sox, but that love has been tested over the years.
Bernard is survived by his daughter-in-law Carolyn DiNatale of North Andover; grandchildren Brooke DiNatale and her husband Kieran Cox of London, England and Brett DiNatale and his wife Christy of North Andover; great grandchildren Dorian and Damien DiNatale of North Andover and Skyler Cox of London; sister Marion Webster of St. Augustine FL; nieces Ellen Devecis of Reading and Barbara Devecis of Worcester; and long-time friends Louis Bellabarba, Tee Cummings and Bea Leger. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Helen (Devecis) DiNatale in 2013, first wife Cecilia (Celuzza) DiNatale in 1946 and son Bernard A. DiNatale in 2013.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg. Burial will follow at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
