The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, February 6, with a Mass in Saint Anthony di Padua Church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 5, from 4-7 pm.

Benedetto R. “Benny” Lucci, 88, of Fitchburg, passed away Monday, February 2, in Leominster Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Benny was born in Leominster on December 23, 1926, a son of the late Alexander and Maria (Marchetti) Lucci. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his honorable discharge, Benny worked for over 30 years for the former Fitchburg Paper and Decatone. Later, Benny also worked for the Rand-Whitney Co., Plastican, and the Double Dragon restaurant.
Benny was a member of Saint Anthony di Padua Church, the Sons of Italy, American Legion, and the Kingsman Drum and Bugle Corps. In his spare time, Benny loved Ballroom dancing, gardening, and fishing. Most of all, Benny loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves his children, James Lucci and companion Christine Collins of Fitchburg, Donna Lucci of Fitchburg, Rosemary “Rody” Hoffman of Fitchburg; four grandchildren; Nicholas Lucci and wife Samantha, Jason Lucci and fiancé Megan Silva, Alexandra Hoffman, and Adam Hoffman; great-granddaughter, Gianna Lucci; longtime companion, Delores Sciamacco of Worcester; many nieces and nephews.
Benny was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Membrino) Lucci in 1994; siblings, Ralph, Victor, Albert, Armand, Alfred, and James Lucci, Alice Cote, Eva DiNardo, and Gladys Montesion.
