Barbara L. (Humphrey) Cormier, 100, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2021. She was born in Edenbridge, Kent, England on October 30, 1920, a daughter of the late Harold and Charlotte (Clarke) Humphrey. After WWII, Barbara moved to the United States; She worked a variety of jobs and ended her career working for the state of Massachusetts as a Principal Interviewer. Barbara loved nothing more than her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed supporting them in all endeavors and loved attending their many soccer, cross country and basketball games. She was a talented seamstress and quilter, and enjoyed gifting her creations. Barbara enjoyed traveling, both internationally and around the United States. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Drury and husband Leon of RI; son Terrence Cormier and wife Nicollette of NC; grandchildren, Michelle Kelley, Lauren Detzel, Mark Drury, Matthew Cormier, Amy Longwell, and Andrew Cormier; 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Joseph G. “Gerry” Cormier in 1999, as well as five siblings.
