The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, July 28, with a Mass in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, July 27 in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road Waltham, MA 02452.
OBTUARY
Fitchburg – Aurore Rose Marie (Bastarache) LeBlanc, 79, of Fitchburg, formerly of Waltham, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in the Lifecare Center of Leominster.
She was born and raised in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada; she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie (Melanson) Bastarache.
Aurore lived in Waltham for 45 years and for the last ten years, has lived in Fitchburg. She worked for ten years at the Unitrode Factory in Waltham. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and going for drives. Aurore was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham and Saint Joseph’s Church here in Fitchburg.
She leaves her husband Albert LeBlanc, daughter Lisa LeBlanc, and son Paul LeBlanc and his wife Jennifer; brothers, Alonzo Bastarache and late wife Jeanne, Ulysse Bastarache and his wife Simone, Thomas Bastarache and wife Jeannette; many nieces and nephews.
Aurore was predeceased by her sisters Rita Gautreau and husband Neri, Germaine Melanson and husband Eric, and Lucille Bastarache.
