LUNENBURG – Armand E. “Sonny” St. Arnaud, 79, passed away May 29, 2017 in Sterling Village. Armand was born in Fitchburg, the son of Armand E. and Flora (Croteau) St. Arnaud.
The funeral will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 from Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main St., Leominster. Calling hours are 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial is private.
LUNENBURG – Armand E. “Sonny” St. Arnaud, 79, passed away May 29, 2017 in Sterling Village. Armand was born in Fitchburg, the son of Armand E. and Flora (Croteau) St. Arnaud.
He attended St. Leo’s Elementary School in Leominster and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School. He graduated from Fisher Jr. College with an Associate’s degree, received a degree in Business Administration from Fitchburg State College and received a degree from General Motors Tech.
He retired from Allmerica Financial of Worcester as an Inventory Specialist. Armand is a former President of the Lunenburg Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. In previous years, he was a Park Commissioner for the Town of Lunenburg, President of Lunenburg Pop Warner, President of Lunenburg Junior Basketball League and coached for one of the teams.
During his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling and summers on Martha’s Vineyard and Maine with family. He also enjoyed many days at the ocean with grandchildren.
Armand is survived by his wife, Judith B. St. Arnaud; four daughters, Deborah Lynn LaPointe and her husband, Roger, of Leominster, Dr. Cynthia Liggett and her husband, Dr. William Liggett, of TN, Brenda St. Arnaud of Boston and Wendy Castriotta and her husband, Matthew, of Hubbardston; seven grandchildren, Scott LaPointe, Bryan LaPointe, Alexandra Liggett, Benjamin Liggett, Caroline Castriotta, Ryan Castriotta and Shea Castriotta and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara O’Malley and Claire Abernathy.
