Anita M Leger

Anita M. (Albert) Leger, age 100, and resident of Athol, MA, passed to be with our Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023.

She was born in St. Paul, New Brunswick, Canada on May 16. 1923. She married Joseph Leo Leger August 26,1950. 

She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend to many. She was employed by Foster Grant in Leominster for many years. In her spare time, she sewed doll clothes and reupholstered furniture, and made many beautiful quilts for family members.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Leo Leger, sister Marie Cormier, and her three brothers, Denis Albert, Father Alban Albert, and Victor Albert. Her great granddaughter Anniesse Wiseman and her mother Angela Emery. 

She is survived by her children, Roger Leger of Fitchburg,  Maria Smith of Oklahoma, Jeannette Wisemen of Athol, Henri and Sharon Leger of Athol, Denis Leger of Oklahoma, Michael and Heather Leger of Oklahoma, and a very special daughter in law Mary Leger of Fitchburg. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Yvon Wiseman, Aimee Leger, Marcus Wiseman and his wife Stephanie, Erica Fisher, Lisa Vautour, John Wiseman and his wife Jamika Wiseman, Serena Gracy, Christopher Leger, Alex Leger. 25 Great Grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends that love and will miss her dearly. 

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:00am in St. Leo's Church, 108 Main Street, Leominster. A burial to follow to St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster.

Calling hours will be held prior to the mass from 9:00-10:30am in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
