The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with a Mass in Saint Bernard’s Parish at Saint Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg on Tuesday, November 29 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9-10:30 in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Summit Elder Care, 55 Cinema Blvd., Leominster, MA 01453.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Anita M. (Richard) Duphily, 94, of Fitchburg, passed away Thursday, November 24, in Heywood Hospital in Gardner.
Anita was born in Rumford, Maine on September 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Placide and Marie (Bourque) Richard. Anita was a very loving and nurturing wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always happy to babysit her grandchildren and help her family in any way she could. Anita enjoyed crafting, especially crewel and cake decorating. Along with her husband she enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and Hawaii. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves her two daughters, Corinne Little and her husband Wayne of Fitchburg, and Deborah French and her husband Steve of Westminster; grandchildren, Tracy Richard and husband Eric, Jesse Little and wife Jestine, Amber French and wife Tara Luce, and Michael French and girlfriend Elizabeth Montalbano; three great grandchildren, Lucas and Owen Richard and Isabel French-Luce; siblings, Aurel Richard of Leicester, Ernest Richard of Auburn, and Doris Pelletier of Rumford, ME.
Anita was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Louis A. Duphily in 1994, as well as her brother Placide Richard.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Heywood Hospital, Broadview Assisted Living in Winchendon, as well as the Summit Elder Care in Leominster for their outstanding care.
