Alfred J. Berube Jr.

Alfred J. Berube Jr, 87, passed away peacefully on Oct 18, 2024 at Life Care Center in Leominster, MA.

Sonny, as he was fondly called, was born on Sept 2, 1937 in Fitchburg. MA. He joined the army right out of high school and served 8 years, travelling to Germany and Korea. He then worked as a Millwright at Simonds Saw & Steel until his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Dianne Albert; his grandsons, Joseph (Alexis) Berube and Andrew Albert; his great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Noah; and his sister-in-law Dianne Berube. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred Sr and Helen Berube; his siblings, Theresa Bourgault and James Berube, and his daughter, Karen Hamel.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1 Hager Park Road, Westminster, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Savior Lutheran Memorial Fund. Burial will be private.
