Acquilla Boucher

March 14, 1934 — April 26, 2016

The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg on Wednesday, May 4, at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014



OBITUARY

Fitchburg – Acquilla J. “Al” Boucher, 82, of Fitchburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Al was born in Richibuctou, N. B., Canada, on March 14, 1934, a son of the late Alphonse and Zelma (Allain) Boucher. He worked as a truck driver for Branch Motor Freight and Polar Beverage for several years. Al was the owner of the Exxon Stations in Fitchburg and Leominster with his son Kevin. Al loved wintering in Florida and summers in Wells, Maine with his wife and he treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.

He leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Doris (Thibodeau) Boucher of Fitchburg; children, Denise Roy and husband Ronnie of Leominster, Michael Boucher and wife Debbie Chiasson of Canton, and Kevin Boucher and wife April-Lynn of Leominster; grandchildren, Brittany and Jeremy Roy, and Anton Chiasson Boucher; one great grandchild, Izabella Rose; brother Bernie Boucher of Fl; one sister, Cecile Allain of Charlton, MA.

Al was predeceased by his brothers Adelin, Leon, and Henry Boucher; three sisters, Valeda Johnson, Marie Arsenault, and Geneva Johnson.
