The funeral​ Mass ​will be held​ on T​hursday, January​ ​11​ with a Mass in Saint Anthony di Padua Church, Fitchburg at 10:00am. Calling hours will be from 4 – 6pm on Wednesday, January 10 in ​​Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.

Fitchburg – Domenica A. (Buratti) Perla, 97, of Fitchburg, passed away at home on January 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Domenica was born in Amandola, Italy on November 13, 1920, daughter of the late Biagio and Agnes (Mandozzi) Buratti. Along with her family, she came to the United States at the age of 6 on board the passenger ship La Bianco Mano and attended Fitchburg Public Schools, graduating from the newly built Fitchburg High School in 1939.
With an incredible work ethic, Domenica spent 40 years as an employee with Sears Corporation working in nearly every department until her retirement in 1985.  Her family was her world; she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Domenica was a skilled Italian cook and baker. In her spare time she loved to crochet and embroider. She was a talented painter, primarily in the watercolor medium.
Domenica was a devoted, lifelong parishioner of Saint Anthony di Padua Church in Fitchburg.
She leaves her children, Judith Perla of Fitchburg, Joanne and husband Mayor Stephen DiNatale of Fitchburg, Janice Perla of Fitchburg, and Robert Perla and wife Janet of Grafton; grandchildren, Daniel Gerow and wife Brianne, City Councilor Marcus DiNatale and wife Sara, Alexandra DiNatale Cardinale and husband Michael, Domenica DeSir and husband Joshua Nagle; two great grandchildren, John DiNatale and Rena Cardinale; two brothers, Ralph Buratti and Louis Buratti, both of Fitchburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Domenica was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Perla in 1994 and her sisters, Olympia Perla, Mary Iacobone, and Gloria Beike.
