Leominster – Patrick A. “Pat” Harrington, 49, of Leominster, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2017 at Clinton Hospital.

Pat was born at The US Army Hospital in Munich, Germany on October 14, 1967, son of John and Christa (Hochmuth) Harrington. He graduated from Ayer High School in 1985.

Pat worked with Nypro in Clinton as a Facilities Mechanic for the past 17 years. Pat was highly involved in Leominster youth baseball for the last 12 years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Umpire Association (MBUA). He was very active and loved to golf. Pat was an avid Red Sox, Chicago Blackhawks and Miami Dolphins fan. Nothing was more important to Pat than his family; he especially treasured spending time with his two sons.

Pat was the kind of guy who would help a stranded motorist, a neighbor, a friend, a colleague, with a joke and a story, making what might be a chore into a chance to connect or make a memory.

Pat was very patriotic, loved his country, and had deep respect for veterans and active service members. He made it a point to acknowledge and thank men and women in uniform whenever their paths would cross.

To say Pat will be missed is an understatement; he truly has made the worlds of family, friends, neighbors, colleagues a better, kinder, and more fun place.

Pat leaves his wife of 23 years, Lisa (Smith) Harrington; two sons, Andrew and Campbell Harrington, all of Leominster. He is also survived by his parents John and Christa of Shirley; his brother John Harrington, his wife Catherina of Clearwater, FL and his niece Madeleine of Tampa, FL; in addition, he is survived by a large extended family as well as his beloved dog, Remy.
